Divas With Disabilities are no strangers to adversity. They have been overcoming obstacles all their lives and COVID-19 is just another bump in the road.  For example, when Zazel-Chavah O’Garra, the Artist Director of ZCO/DANCEPROJECT, was no longer able to engage with her community of dancers in the studio, she took her classes online. Zazel knows that her work is more important now than ever.   During the pandemic, she has been hosting online classes every week for about for dancers with disabilities. Zazel’s classes are the only opportunity for some of her students to find movement within their stay at home days. 
 
The Divas With Disabilities Project is asking you to give to Zazel and many other Divas like her this Giving Tuesday. The Divas with Disabilities Project supports Brown and Black women with disabilities. These women are in communities that are being hit hardest by this pandemic, but they are resilient. Divas will overcome this pandemic, but they need your help. When you support The DWD Project this Giving Tuesday, you will help Zazel and Divas like her purchase technology to further support their mission of community building. You will also support Divas who now need food delivery services to keep them and their families safe during this time. 
 
This Giving Tuesday presents an opportunity to support organizations, like the Divas with Disabilities Project, who are leading and supporting the most vulnerable during this unprecedented time.
